January 14, 2011 – Nicole Leonard has been appointed by Tioga Energy as vice president and general counsel. Relying on over 10 years of Leonard’s legal experience in project development, renewable energy and land use, Tioga looks forward to their new executive imparting strategic guidance during project financing and development. Leonard most recently worked with Solar Millennium as its general counsel and vice president of business development and was previously a partner with Beveridge & Diamond.
“Our customers strive to incorporate a significant shift in energy usage without diverting attention from standard operations; a poorly facilitated transaction can quickly derail a project,” said Leonard. “Tioga sets itself apart with an unparalleled commitment to providing a hassle-free process for all parties involved, and I look forward to joining in the effort.”
Leonard attended Duke University School of Law where she earned her J.D. and was the co-chair for the Environmental Law Society.
“The addition of Nicole enables Tioga to better service our customers, further strengthening the value we provide in quickly and efficiently implementing distributed generation projects throughout North America,” said Paul Detering, CEO of Tioga Energy. “As we welcome another talented member to our core management team, 2011 is shaping up to be the most successful year in Tioga’s history.”
