SFBT Cleantech + Sustainability – Finance 2011
Tioga was the finalist in the Finance category for this annual award bestowed by the San Francisco Business Times. The award recognizes Tioga for pioneering new financing structures, this year piecing together state incentives, federal tax credits and municipal bonds to fund county-wide solar projects in New Jersey.

Interstate Renewable Energy Council – Innovation Award
Tioga was recognized for its “Morris Model” solar financing structure, developed with the Morris County Improvement Authority, NJ. The unique public/private partnership for financing municipal renewable energy projects combines low-interest public bonds, traditional Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and federal tax incentives. Awards were bestowed on five initiatives and best practices that helped move clean energy technology closer to being the norm.

The San Francisco Business Times selected Tioga for inclusion in its Top VC-Funded Cleantech Firms list. This annual directory highlights private cleantech companies that have shown exemplary growth over the course of the previous year.

Tioga was distinguished as one of the top 250 private companies that are taking old notions of doing things and forging solutions that will lead to industry shake-up and huge value-creation opportunities. The list comprised domestic and international companies pioneering in a number of sectors, including greentech.

Part of AlwaysOn – which networks the “Global Silicon Valley” – GoingGreen Silicon Valley presents its GoingGreen Top 100 Awards to Silicon Valley companies in a variety of fields. The 2010 list named Tioga Energy as one of the top emerging private companies creating new business opportunities in solar energy.

Climate Change Business Journal – Business Achievement Award
Tioga received the Climate Change Business Journal Project Merit Award for Solar Power. CCBJ recognized companies, technology developers and entrepreneurs for taking risks to build a sustainable business in the climate change industry. The award specifically noted Tioga for the introduction of its SurePath Solar power purchase agreement (PPA).
