Job Position: Project Manager / Manager of Corporate Program Management
Reports To: VP Project Management
Location: San Mateo, CA
Summary
We are looking for a detail-oriented and process-minded team leader to manage solar installation projects and to scale our installation operations as we rapidly grow our team and our total number of project implementations. Your primary mission will be to ensure that all projects run smoothly, while at the same time further crafting an efficient and effective internal environment as well as external handoff process with our partners. Your efforts are instrumental in enabling Tioga Energy to provide the best client service of any company in our sphere.
Responsibilities
- Support sales team, as needed, in driving site evaluation, bidding and deal/facility optimization process
- Project planning and scheduling
- Coordination of site evaluation, engineering design, construction and operations activities
- Development of scheduling and tracking tools (e.g. critical items list, summary & detailed project schedules, rolling schedules)
- Contractor management and communications
- Oversee and manage the construction of solar energy facilities
- Ensure facilities are maintained for optimal performance
Specific skills and experience
- General contractor and/or electrical license (California A, B, C-10, or C-46 licenses preferred) and commercial solar installation experience strongly preferred
- Proven project management expertise (e.g. WBS)
- Experience reviewing mechanical and electrical design drawings
- Personnel management skills
- Process management tooling experience (e.g. Web-based software tools) desirable
- Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Excel & PowerPoint
- Project management applications, e.g. MS Project, Primavera
Required
- 5+ years senior-level project management, including project & cost controls, planning & scheduling
- A bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering management, business management or related technical/engineering (civil, electrical, mechanical) discipline
- Construction experience in a major engineering and construction company is a plus
- PMP certification desirable
