What is Solar Energy?
Solar energy is dependable, affordable and easy to distribute, and simple to connect to existing electrical grids. According to the US Department of Energy’s Solar America Initiative, by 2015 solar technology will provide an additional 5-10 gigawatts of electric capacity to the grid. That’s enough energy to power 1 to 2 million homes, and eliminate 10 million metric tons of C02 emissions annually.
